First established in 2026, the Public Prize complements the René Pechère Literary Prize by focusing on accessible works that can reach a wide audience, while maintaining a genuine editorial standard.

Calendar

- February 2026: Selection of the 10 works by the jury

- March 2026: public vote goes live

- 3 May 2026 at 12 noon: voting closes, following the Aywiers Gardens Spring Fair 

- May to September 2026: the jury will review the three shortlisted works

- In September/October 2026: the jury will deliberate
